HTC Dream (G1) support

Postby tomf84 » Wed Dec 24, 2008 4:06 pm

Hi

It would be great to have support for the T-Mobile G1 (HTC Dream / Google phone) browser in subsonic.

There is an app in the Android market called StreamFurious that can play M3U playlists and stream MP3 over HTTP. I guess all that's really needed is to provide a simplified interface to get the playlist URL out of Subsonic and into StreamFurious.

I may actually dig into this myself if I get some chance...

Have you tried the Subsonic wap interface? You can get the m3u playlist urls from there.

Unfortunately the browser on the G1 doesn't appear to be capable of rendering WML. You just get the markup itself displayed.

There is an Android emulator complete with browser in the Android SDK, which is free.
