I'm not sure several overlay buttons is the best solution, or if for some of these perhaps simply adjacent links would be better, but...
...basically however I second/third/fourth this proposal. I frequently just want to add whole albums to existing or new playlists while browsing, and entering each album, choosing "select all" from the drop-down, then "add to playlist" from the dropdown, is extremely tedious. Even a "Add all to playlist" link inside album view would be an improvement, though not having to go into album view to add a whole album to a playlist would be ideal.
I imagine most people probably use playlists to organize individual tracks rather than whole albums, but I primarily prefer to listen to whole albums, and I use playlists for convenient syncing to my mobile subsonic apps, so being able to quickly fill playlists with albums would be a great boon.
This would also help me approximate another feature I wish Subsonic had: shuffle by album. I frequently like to listen to random albums, and this would allow me to just trawl through the random album view, clicking buttons to add to a playlist, then playing the list. As it is currently, I can use the overlay button to choose one album to play right now, but have to go back and pick another when it's done, or do the tedious procedure above to add multiple albums to a playlist.
