Better Response to "Listen to"

Postby GnEeErKd » Thu Aug 21, 2014 7:38 pm

I like the new Google Now voice commands, and I like Subsonic, but I don't like how they work (or don't work) together.

If I say "Listen to artist Ben Folds", "Listen to album Speed Graphic", or "Listen to Annie Waits by Ben Folds", etc and have Google Play Music or DoubleTwist set as my default player, they respond as you would expect and begin playing the song(s) I asked for. However, if I do the same search with Subsonic set as my music player, it does a simple search and starts playing the first song in the song results. This means that if I have a song with 'Ben' in the title by another artist, it will begin playing that when I search for "Ben Folds". This means if I say "Listen to artist Ben Folds" it might start playing Michael Jackson...obviously not the desirable response.

Is it possible to interpret search terms for artists/albums/songs like that, rather than assuming the keyword is just a song title?

I would also love to see that interaction with Google Now.
