I understand I can add multiple albums to a list and then shuffle them. However, for all practical reasons it is impossible to add all albums in your library and then shuffle them. Therefore, it would be great to have a shuffle that simply takes some random song from a random album one at a time. Even better, it would be great if that could be done for all the filters, i.e. a shuffle on all "Recently added", a shuffle on all "Starred", "Top rated", a certain decade, a certain genre, etc.

Thanks

Thanks. This is the only thing I found missing. This is such a great program. Thanks for all your hard work on this.

Searching the forum, this question seems to have been raised in one form or another for several years though.
I have a very large library of songs and it takes about five minutes to get the ten songs from random play to pop up, after that playback stops and I have to press random again and wait. I have not found an intuitive way to just keep playing random stuff. I'm a complete noob to SS though so I may well have missed something obvious.

+1 on that. I can't create a playlist of my entire collections because it's too big.

In Subsonic 5.1 you can click the "Shuffle Play" button on the home screen.
