Logfile possibilities

What a wonderfull product you made. I use it for two months now and i'm very satisfied. Truly a jewel of software!!!

I have a request for you:

I have a small community for my music-server and i want to log some information. Is it possible to log the information below:

* When a user logs in the website (Who - Date - Time - Ip-Address)
* What the users have listened (Artist - Songinfo)
* What the users have downloaded.

It is also an option to send an email to the administrator emailaccount when a user logs in?

Hi skymagic

You don't specify whether you are running Subsonic on a Windows or Unix/Linux server, but I imagine this applies for both.

On Linux the subsonic.log logs starting streams, stopping streams and "opening new song".
It also logs downloads in three parts, "starting download", "downloading" and "downloaded".

There are a lot of tools available for automatically monitoring logs and triggering events, such as an email, on Linux.
A quick google search suggested swatch or epylog.

Monitoring logs in Windows is in my opinion a nightmare, but there are surely tools available for this as well.
