I noticed that you put nice information on the Web Page about composers and performers. But it only works if we store them as
firstname lastname
which is rather useless.
Surely it should be easy to also check
lastname, firstname

I agree that the option would be nice to have.

I wouldn't call the current format useless since that's how I use it, so for me it's perfect already

But if everybody could be happy that'd be great.

For classical music fans, the "approved" way of doing tags is really useless. Since the conductor and ensemble are hardly ever fixed, I always replace the artist by the composer. And who can remember the first name of obscure composers?

Everything seems to be stacked in favor of pop music fans.
