I try to put a pdf of the album notes in the album folder. It would be great if Subsonic allowed the reader to view them.
It should be easy to do:
check for the presence of a pdf file
display a link to "album notes"

I still want this feature!

There is a way to accomplish this, at least in the browser version of Subsonic.

I have pdf booklets for a lot of my albums. I placed them all in Dropbox (but this would work with Google Drive or another cloud service). Then I copied the Dropbox link to the booklet into the "Comment" field for the corresponding album in Subsonic. You can even name the link -- I use VIEW CD BOOKLET -- by following the little html cheat sheet that you see when you add a comment.

So if you open an album page and click VIEW CD BOOKLET, the pdf opens in a new browser tab and you can read it while the album plays.

That is a neat suggestion, but a lot of work. (I just spent weeks getting covers for my 77,000 tracks.)

It would be so easy if SubSonic just looked for a pdf file and did what you suggest. Or if the comment field accepted pdf references that were not URLs.
