Hello,

Is it possible to add a per users Artist/ Album access.

For example, my wife want to see only the media she like, and me the media i like. But we all sharing the same library.

hi

thats no problem it already exist, use the folder allow funktion and only add the folders you like (only allow access the folders you like och then do the same for your wife)
i do this for all my users (just divide the media in folders) /Regards

Ok, but i don't want to duplicate all my media.

these aren't exclusive.

you'd just need to create 3 folders - shared, yours, hers, and set up the control lists appropriately for each of the three.

This is not what I'm thinking about.

I hope it could be possible to set access on every artists / albums / songs.

it isn't possible now. "ACLs" - access control lists, which is what you are asking for - are a significant memory hit and also are a major hit on general DB performance. I don't see the use case, particularly for generally private servers like this, as being big enough to warrant all of the code involved at each stage, along with all of the performance impacts on the database. Such a security feature would be required on a server designed to handle hundreds to thousands (to millions, like facebook and google), but not a simple server on low-powered hardware serving a mere few to dozen.

But I'm not in charge. :)
