API for allowing multi-genre selection on shuffle play

I'm using DSub mobile app and when I choose shuffle play from the library, I'm presented with a dialog where I can specify range of year and genre. Currently, I am told, the API only supports a single genre selection. Would like to be able to select multiple genres and be able to shuffle play from those limits. Thanks!

+1; this feature is available in my old SqueezeBox media center program and it is very useful. To give an example, I have thousands of audiobooks and also some children's music, but about 50 other genres. When I click Shuffle Play, I'd like to be able to select all genres EXCEPT Audiobooks and Childrens. Hope that makes sense.
