I would like to be able to specify the folder an individual podcast will be downloaded into as part of the process of adding a new podcast, and being able to edit the folder name after it is added.

It seems that the folder which is created from a podcast is at the whim of the podcast provider. This opens up the potential for undesirable names with funky punctuation and very long names that don't fit in the web GUI. I'd like to be able to set that name instead.

In addition it would be good to be able to set the download time of day and how may files to download at the RSS feed level. Some podcasts I download are 3 files per day and others are 1. Making a global setting of Last 3 files means I'm re-downloading 2 extra files per day for each podcast that I don't need to.

having same issues as you. hopefully there will be some fix/overhaul of the podcast downloader.

Came here to ask exactly this. Surely the functionality is part way there with the "music scanner" etc.

I am basically stuck at the moment running two VMs with two separate SubSonic instances on. One for Podcasts and one for Music.

And the podcast show changed the name of the show, and created a new folder again, and messed up my downloads.

I've installed 6.o Beta 1. I don't see that this has been considered.

Should the category on this forum be renamed to "Ignored Feature Requests"??

I can understand if you don't think it is worthy, but what is the point of users' making requests if there is no feedback whatsoever. Tell us it is being considered, ignored, anything!?

Can somebody please leave some feedback on this feature request?
