user feeds

hi there
i am new here but planning on a spotify like serviece with my private (but very large) local mp3 collection

one feature that is very important and seems missing is the social aspect
since you can have multiple users on the same server, each with his daily activites, likes, listens, playlists..etc
it would be very cool if users can follow each other and check the the feeds of their friends to see what are they up to

any thoughts ?
