Similar Artists taken from Last.fm

A few years ago I used the Sockso music server on an old Mac. One of the best tricks it had was showing a list of similar artists to whatever you happened to be browsing at the time. This was (a) taken from Last.fm, and (b) filtered down to just the artists available in the local served library. Sockso stopped being developed – so now my old Mac is running Subsonic 5.2.1, and I've just signed up for a repeating Premium subscription.

I really like Subsonic, but I miss that trick from Sockso. I would *love* to have this ability in Subsonic. It made putting together custom playlists so much more fun, and it was a great way to re-find artists and music that I had but I'd forgotten about. It actually looks like this is a regular request, and one post I found made it sound like it's somewhere in the software already – my apologies if it is but I couldn't track it down...

Yep, subsonic 5.2.1 has already a similar artist feature based on lastfm. Click on an artist and after a few seconds the list of similar artist must appear bellow the bio of the artisit
