In fresh memory from previous support/help question;

Using other upnplayer for mostly vids, that one supports subsonic or universalmediaserver as servers. I can then direct the output
to my newly bought ( regret ) Pioneer X something something wireless/dnla speaker....

Really like subsonic, works great all the time, even a buying customer, but unfortunately, it's either not there, or I'm just to stupid to figure out how ?
Meaning - subsonic via either browser or via android -> then using the above Pioneer DNLA speaker as renderer. Doable ?

thanks,

Yes, but its a 3 parter: server, control point, and renderer...you need a control point.

I also use bubbleupnp as a control point, but I think it too requires root.

I reviewed my BubbleUPnP app last night and I don't see it in SuperUser permissions so you should be good to go.

Using upnplayer on the android, as the control point, I can address my media server ( Universal Media Server ) and can also direct output to the Pioneer speaker,
so that 3-step chain is working.

Problem is, UMS is mostly used for videos and struggles to simply survive my library of data (no of songs),

upnplayer even shows subsonic as a DLNA server on the droid, though can't get that to actually play anything.
Only was to address subsonic server as such, is through the subsonic client on the android, which then, unfortunately do not have the option
of choosing which renderer for output...
