Hi, first of i would like to thank you for a great product!

In the search results i would like to have a option to:

Play all | Play random | Add all | Download |

just like when you select an artist. I really cant se why this should not be albe from search results, unless its somthing tecnical.

And as other have requested, a possibility to either change the numer of returned results og a "Next 100 results" link/button.

I tryed vibestream today but figured out that subsonic was superior in every aspect.

It would also be nice to have a more advanced search mode, at least a split between artist and albums. Especialy since there currently is a cap of 100 results. Let me say I want to search for the band DIO. Now i have to chose the " Search artists/albums" option. Guess what..

ABBA the complete stuDIO recordings are quite dominant in the results

This is off cause ony and example.

The choice of music in this example may not be representable for the authors taste

Hope this is not to complicated to do. And I guess many people would benefit of a more functional search function.

Yes, I fully agree that the search feature can be improved.

At the very least, I'll attempt to support search result paging (like Google) in Subsonic 3.7. I'll of course also consider your other suggestions.

Just a quick follow-up.

I can confirm that Subsonic 3.7 is going to support paging through the search result, as well as field-based searching (i.e., separate search field for title, album and artist).

Having an 'advanced search' feature has been requested tons of times. Since people create new threads instead of searching the forum, I feel forced to copy and paste the same reply in a handful of threads to reach people subscribing to the topic.

I've just added an 'advanced search' interface to my Subsonic mod, see viewtopic.php?f=4&t=9777&p=50566#p50566.

It allows for combining some twenty different criteria when searching for tracks, browsing all results, and adding all of them for playback. The mod is documented at http://dilerium.se/musiccabinet/.
