Podcast: delete downloaded file but keep it in list

I'm using Subsonic a lot for podcasts in combination with the Android app DSub.
But the podcast management in Subsonic is awful I think. Sorry
The main thing is that I don't have unlimited HDD space on my server so I need to be able to delete a downloaded podcast but keeping the entry in the podcast list.
Also, I have two additionnal suggestions:
1/ expose the number of podcasts in the API (as requested in another topic)
2/ and please, add sorting functions in podcasts! (and subscriptions renaming).
