Improving Shuffle Play

Hello hello,

I've been wondering for a while now : is there a way the Shuffle Play feature (hidden in the "More" submenu) could be improved? Specifically, what I have in mind :

  • Filter by stars: I could use this to either filter albums I have already flagged as great, or also to shuffle through unstarred albums (I have a fairly large number of those from before I started using Subsonic) so that I can rate them.
  • Remember the last filters I used: I often do not use the default 20 songs to make up for the lack of infinite playlists.
  • Infinite playlists: If I run to the end of a shuffled playlist, reload it with new songs and keep on playing!

What do you think?

Since the first two do not seem especially hard to do, I can contribute some of my time to scratch the itch. What's the preferred way of sending contributions? Sending diffs via email? Or does SourceForge have any way of sending a pull request?

It would also be great if shuffle could pay attention to individual song ratings. Have a higher probability of selecting a song the higher rated it is. With an option of 0% for 1 star rated songs.
