[ANDROID CLIENT] better sat-nav app integration
Posted: Thu Aug 18, 2016 11:20 amOn both google maps and co-pilot europe professional there is a conflict between subsonic and the sat nav voice prompts.
When subsonic is playing music and the sat nav requests access to the sound system , the "navigation prompt" audio is completely lost.
at first I thought this was just a mobile operator drop out but soon realised that it was every time either of my 2 sat nav apps
(one online operation, the other offline for driving in countries where I dont have data roaming for free) tried to talk to me ,
the result was a few seconds of blank air.
This requires the vehicle driver to look at the sat nav to understand the instruction rather than to listen to the prompts.
better integration would be a major contribution to road safety!
