allow id3 modification

I was hoping we might be able to get API methods that would allow us to read/write id3 tags. I'm using Ultrasonic and it's great but there are just a couple of things I'd like to tweak. I've got a rather massive collection (60,000+ tracks) and they have all been rated using Musicmatch Jukebox (I still use this player on my work PC, playing my music from home over a mapped network drive, there has never been another program that comes close).
So I would love to be able to shuffle play my 5 star rated songs. For most people that would mean allowing Subsonic to read the popm tag, but Musicmatch makes life a little more difficult in this area because it rates using the comments frame in the id3 tag. So what I would really love is an API method that would allow me to read/write to the comments tag so I can do a little "5 in the comments tag = Starred track and vice versa" deal.
