Initiate a Media Folder scan from the client

There have been quite a few times I have thrown a few albums in Subsonic and then ran out the door to go do something and forgot to scan the media folder.
Would be nice if I could launch my favorite Subsonic client and trigger a rescan from the client.

Maybe inspiration for the REST API could be drawn from Madsonic's implementation of this feature:
scanStatus (beta.madsonic.org/pages/api.jsp#scanStatus)
Display the server status of scanning. Takes no extra parameters.
startRescan (beta.madsonic.org/pages/api.jsp#startRescan)
Start the server media scanning. Takes no extra parameters.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll consider inclusion of this feature in the next version!

+1. This option is not only useful for third party apps to trigger by hand, but also for apps that 'send' music to subsonic and can then prompt to do a scan.
