it would be great to use Satellites / Nodes which are managed by Subsonic for multi room solutions.

I've had that idea for "remote-control" for SubFire for a while now, but little time to implement it.
It wouldn't be perfect because of buffering issues and timing issues - if you walk from one room to another, the new room may be behind or ahead of the first, but it is feasible to do. I have that happen already if i have 2 radios/computers both tuned to XM Radio or internet radio stations.
