As administrator, being able to delete files/folders within the chosen path.

:)

edit: renaming of files would also be great.

Totally!! You don't know how many times I've wanted to be able to do this. I stumble on to duplicates quite a bit. It's much easier to do the housekeeping when you notice it rather than having to remember later!

Hey Folks!

this post seems to be a bit old, but still I'd like to add my +1 in the hope not to punch a dead horse.

Does subsonic support this, or was this FR just abandoned?

I have checked the subair app, but it requires Adobe AIR.

Thanks,

Michael

-1, do not like that feature :( I prefer to do "danger" things by hand, not a button.

+ 1 to you :) Seems to dangerous having this by default.

On the other hand, a kind of module/plugin system for Subsonic that would allow building and having such feature would be great. Subsonic could become a media management tool as well, instead of "just" a player.

I understand, that this operation is dangerous. So then only user with the 'delete privilege' should be allowed to perform this operation.

Considering how many open security vulnerabilities Subsonic has, I (and I am guessing many others) would rather not even open that as a possibility. But hey, this is really an academic discussion anyways with next to no development in the past several years.
