Delay Last.fm scrobbling

My friends upload new tracks to my subsonic, and when I listen to them, subsonic scrobbles them even if its only been a second or two.
When you listen to a track on last.fm radio, you can decide how much of the song must be played (eg 50%) before it's scrobbled. That way your friends' misguided tastes in music don't mess up your Last.fm profile lol.
Doesn't look terribly difficult to implement.
Look forward to hearing something!

Yes, I'll tend to that in a future release.
In fact, I need to upgrade to the newest Last.fm Submissions Protocol (1.2.1). I'm currently supporting version 1.1 only.
Thanks,
Sindre

I second that request... please implement a delay so that I don't need to manually remove scrobbled tracks from my last.fm profile anymore.
Just seen that you already updated to last.fm protocol 1.2.1. Any chances to get a delay for last.fm submission soon? Thanks!

I third that request! A delay before scrobbling would be a god-send.

Any news on this request? My tracks are scrobbling even after playing for a second. Thanks

I have you beat... It's currently scrobbling songs that I haven't even listened to yet! It's buffering to my EVO right now, and the currently BUFFERING song is being scrobbled.

Yes this needs to be fixed. I use this software to keep statistics on usage and now have to go into LastFM after a listening session and delete tracks that have not been played.

I suppose it might be hard to tell whether it is being played or just buffered. Hopefully the subsonic client apps (such as for android, iphone, etc.) can send back playback status to the subsonic server to control the scrobbling. Or if there was a way to just to the scrobbling straight from the client (again, I'm thinking of android here).
Adding my vote.

I'd just like to say that delaying last.fm scrobbling would be one of the two features I'd like (the other would be shuffle-play, especially within my queue).

I do the same thing. Thanks for working on it

I agree, the plugin needs to delay the scrobble or have an option which only submits upon play completion. I often flick through the songs until I find the one I was after, resulting in loads of erroneous submits.

I've implemented this in my Subsonic mod. The code is up on Github, in case Sindre would like to integrate it to the main trunk:
https://github.com/hakko/musiccabinet/b ... rvice.java(this was one of my mayor annoyances with the out-of-the-box installation)
