Ability to change device for Jukebox mode

I believe one of the forked versions of Subsonic (wont say who) has this feature. Right now you are only limited to use Jukebox mode on the device the server is setup on. The problem being, at least for me, is that my server is hosted on my Synology NAS and have no way to use this functionality but would love to if I could redirect the device which acts as the Jukebox server. I believe the fork (I never used it, just remember seeing it as a feature) uses an installer to install an agent that would allow it to be redirected through whichever app or browser you are using. I don't know if that's the only way that can be done, but I would love to see this functionality since its the most convenient way to play everything remotely like this while still using my phone for control.
