It would be nice if you make the "jukebox" any client system currently logged in rather than only the server.

I think "restricting" the jukebox playback to the subsonic server is unfortunate because basically anyone running a real server in a data center environment will not be able to natively benefit from the feature. Many servers don't even have sound cards and even if you installed one you'd still need to stream the output to the location where your sound system is.

I was able to setup a virtual audio driver and stream out one server's audio, but I am unable to find a virtual audio driver compatible with my real server which runs windows 2008.

Yes, I'm struggling to get it to work with Virtual Audio Cable and VLC on Win 2k8 R2.
I'm running VLC as a service using srvany, and I have a feeling the service doesn't have access to the audio device. AirFoil looks like it might work but I really don't want to install the Bonjour service on my server.
I'll post again if I have any success.

EDIT: I can confirm that Virtual Audio Cable is working, now I just need to get VLC to send the stream over multicast.

What I eventually ended up doing was giving up on the jukebox player because it suffered some other issues as well playing different types of files. To get the semi-desired effect here's what I did:

-RDP to the server and use the flash player to play music locally using virtual audio cable.
-Run VLC on the server to stream out mms or http audio
-Connect to the stream from client computer with VLC

To run the "radio station" you just have to rdp to the server to modify the playlist. I've used this method several times during house partys that have multiple sound systems setup around the house. 1 playlist and the entire house bumps in unison! Yeah!

I have had success using VAC+VLC - running as a service to multicast the jukebox. Not overly impressed with VAC's performance but some tweaking might fix it. AirFoil was useless.
I noticed a feature request to enhance the jukebox side of things, so hopefully someone will pick it up and run with it. We too have multiple sound systems in the house and what I'd really like to see is multiple jukeboxes (multiple players) that stream.
