Player - remove played songs

When I use Subsonic on my android phone a played song is not removed from the players list. I would like that happen. Is it possible?

Not right now. It remains cached until your cache settings are 'full' and then it starts removing files from the cache, oldest first, to make room for new files.

You can keep the cache size small in order to minimize that, or switch to a different Android-compatible client that only streams and doesn't cache.

The play queue never changes until you change it. It will always 'remember' what it was playing until you change it by starting a new album or playlist etc.

I prefer a lager cache so I have more songs on the my phone and it plays more fluently. I will try to find a settings that does both.

if concerned about the cache filling up, a few steps can handle it. First set the cache size down to the lowest value and the pre-load songs to something like 1. Then start playing something not in the cache - when it needs to look at the cache, it'll check against the size and and wipe everything that doesn't fit.

Then reset the values back to what you wanted. There's no easy "clear cache" button anymore, and the files aren't stored in Android's own cache for easy removal through the Settings->Apps feature (this is due to how Android itself changed things over the years).

The cache is not the problem (I have a 128GB card in the phone and there is plenty of space left )
The problem is that sometime the Subsonic app on my phone closes, for whatever reason. When I start is up again it starts playing the list from the first song I already heard that one. I want Subsonic to continue from where he left off.

That I can't help with...as it never happens to me. The app's always continued where it left off.
