It’s time to upgrade!

I am a long time user and I have paid for lifetime licence since 2005 and I am an happy user but now Subsonic is abandoned. On September 2019 I have successfully upgraded from Subsonic to Airsonic (open source): https://github.com/airsonic/airsonic

I'm using Subsonic at W10Pro and Airsonic at Ubuntu 18.04LTS Subsonic is far ahead Airsonic. A lots of Radiostations Subsonic can play, in Airsonic don't work. I have 260.000 Music Titles, round about 50% in ALAC (Apple) lossless. No Problem for Subsonic, Airsonic can't, same to FLAC. That is known for a couple of years but not fixed. The Airsonic GUI is good for Eyecancer, may be the coming new will copy the subsonic too.
In fact, Airsonic is not better than subsonic, only it is free of fees.

Yeah, unfortunately, I agree with 3Dscrewer. I've been a paying Subsonic user since 2011 and while I'm deeply disappointed that development has seemed to slow to an almost non-existent trickle, it's still way better than Airsonic, which I tried recently.

It's a bug bummer that Subsonic is no longer open source and others can't contribute. It does seem to still be the best option out there though. :/
