SlimProto

Hi,
Guess this is a bit of a stretch, knowing the extent of Sindres to-do backlog, but here goes:
Wouldn't actually mind kicking Squeezecenter/Slimserver if Subsonic could stream to Squeezeboxes using the open source SlimProto protocol. There are some nice features in Squeezecenter, i.e scrobbling, readily available internet radio etc, but nothing that couldn't be incorporated into Subsonic in future releases. Squeezecenter is however a bit of a resource hogger and for those of us running NAS devices or trying to keep our WHSs trimmed and responsive, Subsonic would be a perfect solution.
Could be worth mentioning that SimplifyMedia has incorporated the ability to stream to Squeezebox alternative Sonos.
Well... here's hoping.
