Shortcuts

Hi!
I have a question about this shortcut-function.
If I want to make shortcuts to f.eks Top 40 album this week, is the only way to copy this albums to a folder named Top 40, and make a shortcut named "Top 40"?

I think the best way to do this is to place a shortcut to the album/song in the Top 40 folder.
Is this possible in any next versions?? :)

so called "shortcuts" are windows specific, in linux there are symbolic links, so for compatibility and ease of use i think this way of handling shortcuts works pretty good. you could organize music like

-music
--soundtracks
---mulan
---reservoir dogs
---...
--benny page
---various
--paul kalkbrenner
---waxmise
--faithless
---no roots
---reverence
---...
--pink floyd
---darkside...
---...

the shortcut in this case would be "soundtracks", and this is the way subsonic expects the music to be organized for shortcuts to work as they should.

My music is organized like this
-Album
--0-9
---2Pac - Hits Of A Ghetto Star (2008)
--A
---ABBA - ABBA Live (1986)
-VA
--0-9
---80's Collection
----CD1
-Singles
--0-9
---A

And with over 240000 songs, I don't want to reorganize my library

thats too bad, because as it is, i think the number of songs that already got reorganised by current subsonic users exceeds 240000 by a few magnitudes

but that aside, there are tools to automagically reorganise a well tagged library with the wink of a finger/mouse, so it wouldnt be work intensive, just a little time consuming in your case (mine is only 22k songs, but I had to retag a fair amount  )
such as:
mediamonkey (proprietary)
foobar (free)(if configured as such or in a "all inclusive" package)
