Limit access to albums based on user_

Hi, and thanks for a super product that took me less than 15 minutes to get up and running.

What I'm looking for (and haven't found possible to to with the current release), is to limit the listing of albums on a user basis.

Example : I have several folders containing music on my server, and one of them is "wife" (as in my wife:-)). Now I would like to have a possibility to have only albums from this folder show up when the user I created for my wife logs on, and NOT have these albums show up when other users log in.

I could perhaps install several instances of Subsonic, given different ports, and give my wife an URL of her own, but such a feature would be neat to have in the settings of one instance.

Perhaps a new screen that would "pair" registered users with available music folders? The default would be that all users have access to all folders, but in this screen it would be possible to use checkboxes to allow/disallow access to music folders for a given user ...?

Hi Zbambus,

I get this request from time to time, and I agree it would be a nice feature. I have it on my todo-list, and hope to address it in a future release.
