Granular rights and permissions

I'd like to see a more granular structure for user rights.

The GUI has a lot of options, like displaying what other people play, statuses and stuff. For some users, these features should be able to hide by administrator settings. Also, users should be able to select who could see their Now Playing statuses. All these settings should of course be overridable by admin.
