selected transcodings for non-admin users

i just added a new transcoder to the subsonic and tried to play to no avail!!
(i had forgot to activate it under the user player)
can't all transcoders be activated by default in a user's player as soon as the admin activate/install a new transcoder??? after all the admin have agreed that it's ok to use it as soon as he/she install it.
