I use my Subsonic at home, at work and when I am travelling in hotels, the only place I can't really use it is on the pllane.

So how about the ability to sync files between my iPod and Subsonic, I don't use iTunes (I use mgtek with Media Player) so don't mind about having to format my iPod.

This is probably outside of the scope of Subsonic, and there are already many other choices for this. If you want to keep your current iPod firmware then try Yamipod. If you replace the firmware with Rockbox, the iPod essentially works like a drive, you can drag and drop mp3s, etc.

I don't see why it would be outside the scope of subsonic. Subsonic allows you to connect to all your music, so why not allow Sync as well?

I hate iTunes and don't want to maintain 1 system for playing and one for Syncing when it could all be done by one app.

I still feel this is a valid feature request.
