Request: Switch parser to JAUDIOTAGGER

Hi Sindre,

since the 'entagged' parser is abandonware with no new release for 2 years I think it's time to move on. The errors and problems arising from 'entagged' are massive, especially with larger collections and vorbis comment tags (FLAC files...).

I suggest a move towards jaudiotagger:

Implementation should not be very difficult, as a forum user actually managed to use some of its functionality in Subsonic:

Thank you for considering this upgrade.
Best wishes,
ff

PS: As a side note: it would be perfect if the chat windows would detect hyperlinks and make them clickable right away. ;)

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll take a look at the jaudiotagger library (and hyperlink detection).

yup, entagged is no longer on a level with subsonic, it really gives too much false positives in the log and other redundant error messages. +1 for jaudiotagger

One of my current main concerns with Subsonic is that many of my FLAC tags are not read in properly. I'm assuming that it's a limitation of the current tagging lib to recognize some tag formats. Unfortunately, it means that last.fm submissions fail for those files, among other side effects. Hopefully, moving to a more recent and feature-full tagging library will also solve these types of problems (a major issue for me, and I'm sure others as well.) Thanks for the consideration.
