HTTPS Built into Subsonic

Postby AmazingLarry » Wed Mar 10, 2010 10:44 pm

Is there a possible way to build SSL encryption into the Subsonic webserver? I'm running Windows, so I don't see that there's a way to use HTTPS with that version. I would really like to have the connection encrypted since I have to open a port in my firewall.

Thanks.

Hi Larry,

I suggest you take a look at these posts:

Hopefully they will get you on your way :)
And don't be afraid to ask questions if you get into trouble. In my experience there is a lot of people running secure Subsonic installation on every possible OS.
Currently without Subsonic due to hardware failure :(

Would the Android App be able to handle HTTPS as well? I guess I completely left that out, I primarily use the Android App and would prefer a secure connection without ConnectBot and an SSH tunnel.

Please look at my post at http://forum.subsonic.org/forum/viewtop ... hlight=ssl

The issue seems to be the Android program rather than doing a proxy.

I'd love built-in SSL as well.
