Trouble with Android Client

I have Subsonic setup to stream music to my Droid, but I have found a minor annoyance in the way that the Android client operates. It seems that every time I begin to stream a song it works great, but when the Subsonic client attempts to show which song is playing in the notification bar the music drops off for a second. It would be nice to get that annoyance fixed or add settings to turn off notifications because they really aren't necessary since I already know which song is playing since I just chose it from my selection or play list.
