Android pause while updating status bar

Hi. First, thanks for the great software -- I tried out the demo, downloaded the server, and immediately donated.

It seems whenever the Android client on my phone updates the status bar (which it seems to do several times near the beginning of a track) it pauses briefly -- as if the output buffer is too short, or it's spending too much time waiting for the status bar to update. The rest of the time, or whenever the phone is asleep, it works great. [Motorola Droid running Droidmod 1.0, but have never had any other audio issue, ever.]

Same here

This exact same issue is occurring on my Droid running Android 2.1. Please fix the stall near the beginning of all songs, for it is very annoying when my song is interrupted during play back just for a notification in the status bar.

Otherwise, this software is supurb! Great job!

I'd also be happy with the ability to turn off the status bar updates.

When I'm listening to music with my phone, I'm either driving (and paying attention to the road) or walking (so the phone is in my pocket). I've really got no use for the updates, in general. I mean: If I want to know what track is playing, there's plenty of ways to do that which don't involve watching for the status bar for intermittent updates.
