Get album covers from id3 tags?

I don't save albumcovers in albumfolders. I rather tag the image into the file.
What are the possibility for Subsonic to grab the picture from the tagged file?

Great streamer, Sindre! Keep up the good work

I'll see what I can do. Can you please mail me a sample mp3-file with embedded cover art which I can use for testing?

Thanks, Sindre

Sindre, first let me say thanks for this great app, and the time you have invested in it.

Have you made any progress on this request to read the cover art from the ID3 tags? I currently have about 49GB of mp3s, and all of them have the cover art embedded in the ID3 tag.

Thanks again for such a great app.

Matthew.

Hi Matthew,

I'm afraid I haven't looked at that yet. Could you please mail me a sample mp3, or point me to software which supports ID3-editing of cover art?

Thanks,
Sindre

Good news: The next version of Subsonic will support images embedded in ID3 :-)

This is just what I want to. Meanwhile I've been adding folder.jpg album art to the ones that have missing embedded cover art/ ID3 tags.
Question: if both are present, which will be displayed? The folder or the embedded art?

If both are present, the folder images are displayed.
