Make port 4040 the default on Windows installations not 80

I think the default port for new Windows installations of Subsonic should be changed to 4040 instead of 80. This would keep it in line with the Mac and Linux installs which will make troubleshooting easier, but more importantly many ISP's block port 80.

This has caused problems for multiple people I've helped. They have everything set up correctly and it's just not working, then we change the port from 80 to anything non-standard and it works fine. But that's just one more step that can make the installation difficult for some people.

Any thoughts?

Yes, that's a good idea. I'll definitely consider changing that.

Thanks.

Erm, its a web based application, so Port 80 should definitely be the default port!

People who do not understand ports will struggle no matter what port number you use.

What might be better is a prompt during the installation of Subsonic asking a user if they want to use Port 80 (the Default) or chose another port.

Is there a way to change the port now? I can't use port 80 because of firewalls beyond my control.

Just click on the subsonic icon and set it to what ever port you want.
