Custom Permissions For Users' Folders

I'd like there to be a way to set custom permissions for each individual user account and they folders they can access? I've set this up on my shared server and have 3 separate accounts on it. I'd like to be able to set it up so that each of us can only access our individual folders.

ie
User 1 - access ~/User1/
User 2 - access ~/User2/
User 3 - access ~/User3/

Also, could you make a way to eliminate a specific folder from showing up on the list? I have a few folders that don't contain music yet they show up on the list of available folders. Its a subdirectory within the directory I have selected for making available.

ie - I have ~/Files/ as my available folder.
I want ~/Files/abc/, ~/Files/def/, ~/Files/song.mp3 to be available
I DO NOT want ~/Files/xyz to be available

User permissions is clearly the next step in this project in my humble opinion

It's the only thing lacking that could really make Subsonic take off in a big way...

Imagine being able to host 1000 users on your server all with their own personal folder to upload THEIR music to, but still having the ability to listen to EVERYONE's music on the whole site?????

Can we say LaLa replacement???!

I, too would like to see at the very least the ability to select which folders each user can have access to. My wife and I have vastly different musical tastes and our music is store in two separate places on my server. Yet all the music is lumped together in a single music select list on our clients - and it's quite long! Being able to cut that list in half would really be nice and no more ribbing from the guys when Barbra Streisand shows up in MY playlist!

First of all, I want to thank the dev team for this awesome project. I used a couple of competitors (Jinzora, Ampache), and Subsonic is much, much better.
I also want to second the request for the ability to set access permissions on folders based on user. My wife and I both have our music collections on the server and we have significantly different musical tastes. I would be great for both of us to see only the music we are interested in when we log in.
