Suggested Improvements to Download Feature
Posted: Fri Sep 03, 2010 9:58 pmI realize the Download feature is supposed to be for grabbing a quick copy, but I'd like to see some more options for it.
1: A lot of stuff I put on Subsonic isn't named "conventionally". I'd love to see an option to have downloaded tracks renamed based on ID3 tags. Instead of 01-stuff-song-stuff.mp3 Subsonic could rename it to "01. Artist - Song.mp3" or something.
2: I have a smaller 2GB MP3 player (don't wanna break my iPod Touch in PE class
), and I'd like to see a way to download stuff from Subsonic that's been re-sampled by LAME. Subsonic makes MP3 encoding so dead simple, it's hard to reproduce it with other software as easily. It'd be a nice way to get some lower quality copies of stuff easily.
2.5: I have some albums that are FLAC... I'd like to be able to download them from Subsonic as MP3's.
