I'm sort of surprised this hasn't been brought up already to the point that I'm guessing I just missed the conversation somewhere.

Is there a way to or are there any plans to give Subsonic the ability to stream video? It doesn't seem like it would be that hard but then again I don't really know squat about how this stuff works.

This has been discussed many times before, it can do it with a lot of messing about (see the tutorials section) but it would be nice if it could do it 'out of the box' ala the same as the music.

I am pretty peeved about the video part of this software, when I first used Subsonic I thought 'wow' a real Media Centre replacement, alas this is not the case, and with the improvements in Media Centre in Windows 7 I am thinking about moving back over to that.

I'd like to second this. Being able to access my home music library from anywhere on my Android has been incredibly useful, but video is even harder to store on an SD in any meaningful quantities. Please support video in the future.

Please read my post in the help forum. I do have video working. There is still a glitch with getting the player to start consistently, but it does work. Please provide feedback if you implement video and share what worked and what didn't work for you.
