Subsonic Forum

It would be nice if the following was added to the chat message area:

1) A ballon window or an audible sound like a knock [window is probably better because of people rockin ]

2) Selectable font/color

A sound interrupting people listening to music?
I wouldn't want that as a user and neither as a host!

But seeing this as an accessibility feature, it could be made optional in settings for users that want it it would be great.

Formatting options for the chat (maybe even a separate section under the "user" tab in settings) would be uber-nice!

of course.. and some left and right alignment for the chat.

I'd like to second the request for some form of chat notification. Either a sound that could be easily turned on & off, a popup balloon or if the tab had an indicator, similar to the visual indication in firefox when you receive a gmail message, would be great.

Does anyone know if something like this can be configured from a web browser instead of subsonic?

I would agree with this request to add some sort of notification. Maybe a flashing window title in the browser or tab if using Windows 7? Definitely no sounds though!

I completely agree we need some sort of notification. Personally, I wouldn't mind a knock or some other sound because I'm hardly ever looking at the user interface while I'm listening to my music.

I totally agree with you. We need to be notified if someone tries to talk with us !

I saw this and had the feeling that it was something I had come across before. If you look at http://forum.subsonic.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=8747 it might be what you are looking for in terms of a notification when you are not looking at the subsonic web interface. I am not sure if you were looking for a sound or just some sort of additional visual cue.
