Truncated album art?

Is it just me, or do other people also dislike the way that cover art is displayed in portrait mode? On my Droid X (480x848) in portrait mode, the cover art is displayed at too large a resolution to fit the width of the screen, so significant portions of the cover are truncated on left and right. I didn't know I had albums by "eethoven", "ozart" or "eatles", but that's what the albums look like.

All the other music players I use on the phone find a way to fit the entire album art on the display. Does anyone else feel this is an annoyance on SubSonic?

I think that it is a Moto Droid specific issue. Album art displays fine on my HTC EVO, my girlfriend's Samsung Captivate and my buddy's Nexus 1. There are a couple of threads in the forums about malfitting album art and they have all been started by owners of moto droids.

It looks like the cover art is scaled to fit the vertical dimension to the available space, letting the sides get chopped off. The Droids have 848 pixels vertical (in portrait mode), rather than the more common 800, so it could be scaling the picture larger due to the larger vertical available space. However, even the screenshot on the Android Market shows the album "Resistance" by "MUSE" with only the "USE" and "Resista" showing.
