It really is looking more like a media server. Has there been any discussion on making Subsonic also handle photos? I basically have the same need to access photos remotely. I have thousands of photos, and it really isn't practical (or desirable) to push those photos to the cloud (whether it's Facebook, or Flickr, or whatever).

Ideally, I want the mobile device to automatically upload photos, and have either a way to view the galleries in the browser, or some native app. The same transcoding abilities would be needed (down sample for phones, leave alone for desktop, etc...). A native Android app (for example) could also have features to share to social sites. Would also need a way for photos processed on a desktop (say from Photoshop or Lightroom) to be pushed to the server.

All I know is my family is constantly complaining it's too hard to access all these digital photos we have.

Just dreaming as I can't find what I want yet.

+1 for the ability to access pictures. I think this would be a great feature for Subsonic!
