I'd like to be able to use my own defined set of Genres. This would help me organize my albums and be able to search better.
I think Subsonic is a very nice product and have told several other people about it!
Thanks,
Mark

I forgot to also say that I did donate €20 for continued Subsonic development.
Thanks a gain for a great system!

Although one can manually type in whatever genre they like for each track, it would be nice to be able to add custom ones to the genre drop-down list, so as to be able to set the genre for an entire album at once...

I 2nd the request for the ability to assign a custom genre to all tracks in an album. Maybe a way to add to, or edit, what appears in the dropdown list of genres.
Other than that, I'm loving it so far (5 days use) and I gladly made a donation.

This honestly seems like a no brainer.. I am perplexed by why a set list of genres was considered a better idea than just letting the user enter them!

What happens if you use a different tag editor?

Or type the genre in on the individual song lines... the only one that is a drop down list is the very top "set all to this genre" selection. The rest are just text boxes.
That being said, I would not call Subsonic the ideal tag editor.
