search within comments field

one use of this that I am imagining is that different users could put a "tag" in the comments field of something they liked (like their name or something) and then a search by that tag would bring up their favorites... I know they can make playlists already, and that's great, but I'm always looking for different (and quicker/easier) ways for my users to remember the things they've discovered on the server.
does anyone have other suggestions for keeping track of favorites on the server?
