More clever song title tag suggestion

Postby Freddan101 » Tue Jan 25, 2011 12:01 pm

It's very easy to update tags with Subsonic but I think the intelligence of the suggestion feature for song title could be improved.

For example the filename "01_It_Doesnt_Have_To_Be" should be suggested as title "It Doesn't Have To Be". Now the title suggestion is indentical to the file name. This would make life much easier when updating a huge library.

well, use foobar or mp3tag for massive tagathons then. it might even save you weeks depending on amount^^
sorry to be so unconstructive but i always thought local tagging/sorting/moving of files is a far better idea then to do that remotely. except if you want to do it remotely on purpose, in that case i second that the tagging features are far from comfortable. they lack batch capabilities for example, but i still think thats not the job of a server and just adds bloat for functions that are already perfectly implemented by other tools.

I see your point but I still think that the tagging feature could be a bit refined as it's already there. And it's nice to be able to do tagging remotely.

Though, I will check out mp3tag to use for bigger batches of tagging.
