Option to download files at the bitrate you have defined

If you already have your transcoding set to 320 or 128 or whatever it would be amazing to have the option when the "Save" option is clicked to choose the full uncompressed file size or a predefined file size based on the bitrate set per user or per server. I just recently found this app and am coming over from Ampache, so far this is leaps and bounds better and I have already donated I'm so won over!

All my music is stored as WMA lossless but my brother uses a Mac and would like to keep some music cached. No straightforward way to convert WMA lossless on a Mac to other formats. Being able to download the transcoded files through Subsonic would be perfect.

I have very few .mp3's in my music collection. Most of the people I know have Ipods or some other mp3 player to play their music. It would be ice if they could download the transcoded music so it would then be able to go into their mp3 player.

This is something I am actively looking to do, I have a large flac collection I would like to get onto my ipod as mp3 - being able to simply download these ready-transcoded would be great.

Well, one thing that I do, since my cell connection is absolutely terrible, I have a low bit-rate set as my max bitrate for one of my accounts. If I login there, and send the "stream" command to my download server, then it will download the file at the max bit-rate for that user.
Might be ideal, though, to add the ability to specify a maximum bit-rate to the download request.
