Hi,
I would love to have an option to recommend songs, albums, artists to other users. Maybe displayed as a message when they login or via mail.

Or perhaps send a link to a specific song via the chat window.

You can edit log on messages and many other areas of the homepage screen in ss. You can also create folders and add them to the shortcut section in the left hand column at the top. Most everything you want is available on the Settings/General screen.

I can see where it would be nice to click on a song and "suggest" it to other people instead of changing the messages, etc.

It would automatically show up in a "suggested" songs section or maybe even a "suggested" playlist.

Just create a "Suggested listening" folder, then define it as a Shortcut under General/Settings. It will then appear under the Shortcuts bar in the left column. Put copies of anything you like in there.

Simple, huh?
