I fourth this!!

There was a thread last year about writing a webos app that appeared to be going in the right direction, but there have been no updates since Sept

Subsonic is far better than Ampache! They shouldnt have the webOS monopoly...

Hello everyone.
I'm starting the development of a webOS client for subsonic.
Looks like the other guy working with this stopped using the forum.
Does anyone have any source code to share for webOS or javascript using the API?

Thank you

WebOS was killed instant today by HP.
Surely stone cold dead now. No more new Pc:s or tabs or phones what I can see. Maybe they support it a couple of months but I kindly doubt that this a good idea. Even for symbian they say it is dead, but hey Nokia release 8 new modells 2012 and have indeed support until the end of 2016...well, remain to see if WebOS is turning as cold as ice before the snows fall in Sweden...somewhat within two weeks in the northern light area... :|

Well, current events have changed a bit. HP did say they were killing WebOS on Friday. Then they dropped the price to $99 and the internet exploded.

Now it's Monday, and demand has been absurd. It's looking like they'll sell out of the ~300,000 stock that were floating around very soon. Now that so many people (myself included) have their hands on a touchpad, HP has said that they're not going to kill WebOS after all.

That said, I think a WebOS Subsonic client would be a good idea. If you're still working on it and if you're willing to open source it and use something like github, I'd be happy to contribute.

doesn't webos support html5 natively?

maybe writing an html5 webapp would be a solution that has further reach beyond webos (considering its shaky footing right now). the current web interface gets the job done, but someone savvy with html5 could really push the envelope a bit more and make the interface cleaner and more user friendly i think.

Hey RicardoKoch - have you made any progress on this? Getting my hands on a touchpad tomorrow and it would be great to know that it might someday have a nice interface to Subsonic (although Touchdroid seems promising). The windows sidebar gadget, SubGadget, I created is all JavaScript and HTML so I would be glad to help if needed.

I just received a touchpad,, 16gig. I can load Susbonic in a browser, login, and the main interface loads fine except for the folder list on the left - it is not in a scrollable windows - it list all the folders vertically down the left side and times out, because the folder list is so long. I can play songs, change settings, etc., it's just the left folder window that seems to causing the problems. Other tweaks, like larger buttons for a tablet, font size etc. may be solved by using a tablet specific theme, possibly.

As a work round I wonder if the accordion mod may work for you?

I would LOVE a tablet specific theme. I'm willing to settle for the other annoyances, like how the artists list doesn't fit into a frame so long as the buttons were bigger.
